What it is

A weeklong, hands-on recording intensive for teens in a professional studio. Students learn practical studio fundamentals and build real skills through guided workshops, structured activities, and listen-backs. (Please note: This is not a DJ workshop or a program for recording original music.)

Who it’s for

Teens ages 14–18 who are curious about recording, production, and how studio sessions work. Instruction will be differentiated to accommodate all learning styles and levels of experience.

About

Dan Fox’s 20 years of experience teaching audio and music tech at the teen and higher education levels gives him the ability to make abstract technical concepts visceral and intuitive for students.

A parent of two children in the Acton school system, he imparts a contagious sense fun to all his presentations and classes via engaging, hands-on demonstrations, interactive activities, and real-world analogies.
